Measure A - Vote No
Private property rights and keep taxes from unnecessarily increasing.
Measure B - Vote Yes
Non-binding measure that sends signal to County of San Benito that it should create a JPA (Joint Powers Authority) to assist in overseeing Hazel Hawkins Hospital if it comes into financial crisis again.
Measures L & M - Vote No
$140 million in new bonds for the San Benito High School District. While we have to address the need for a new high school, there has to be more discussion about the details.
Measure X - Vote No
Sell Hazel Hawkins Hospital, our only community-owned health care facility, to Insight, a Michigan company that is crisscrossing the country seeking marginally performing hospitals that are real estate rich that can be bought on the cheap. They then enter into a management agreement with their for profit company and extract large fees from our community.
